![]() Overall it was a fun experiment, but 2 and 3 still need additional tinkering to feel just right. The PS3 version, via RPCS3 (not shown in the video) looks and sounds better, provided you have a powerful enough PC, but there is currently no way to play with a mouse, so you're stuck with a joystick. HotD 4, the arcade version via TeknoParrot, is still too buggy to be enjoyable. HotD3 looks amazing with the higher resolution, but the controls took a lot of tries to get right (and in the end it the sensitivity was still off for my tastes). In the end I went with Demul, but it looks like the widescreen hack threw the aim off a bit. Survival horror as it's never been seen before A pulp-style take on the classic Sega light-gun shooter series. Both Demul and Reicast (via Retroarch) had their share of problems. The House of the Dead: Overkill charges you with mowing down waves of infected, blood-thirsty zombies in a last-ditch effort to survive Bayou City and uncover the horrific truth behind the origins of the House of the Dead. HotD 1 just looks amazing in the Model 2 Emulator, and was very easy to set up. ![]() I love light gun games in general and The House of the Dead series in particular, so I tried to improve each game's visuals as much as I could.
